A school-based registered nurse (RN) position is available to provide comprehensive nursing care within a K-12 educational setting. This role involves delivering health services and promoting wellness among students in a contract position for the upcoming school year.



Key Responsibilities

• Conduct health assessments and screenings for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
• Manage chronic conditions and provide acute care as needed during school hours
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans and emergency response protocols
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student health and safety
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Provide health education and counseling to students and staff

Qualifications

• Valid RN license with current registration
• Previous experience in school nursing preferred
• Knowledge of pediatric nursing and common school health issues
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a school team
• Understanding of applicable health laws and confidentiality requirements
