Senior Scientist

Piper Health & Sciences is hiring a Senior Scientist to join a leading-edge biotechnology company advancing bioengineered organ systems. The right candidate will have knowledge of kidney physiology, a strong background in cell culture, and experimental R&D to enhance functionality in engineered kidneys.

Responsibilities of the Senior Scientist Include:

• Design and conduct experiments to optimize kidney cell performance within bioengineered tissues
• Formulate and refine cell culture media specific to kidney and liver applications
• Lead innovation in biomaterials, techniques, and experimental platforms
• Manage R&D initiatives, driving projects to achieve developmental milestones
• Mentor early-career scientists and foster a collaborative research culture
• Author scientific documentation including publications, patents, and regulatory reports
• Monitor advancements in related fields and provide strategic insights to the team

Qualifications of the Senior Scientist Include:

• PhD (5+ years) or Master’s (8+ years) in Cell/Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
• Demonstrated expertise in kidney tubule physiology and mammalian cell culture
• Skilled in organ culture models, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and bioreactor technologies
• Proven leadership in managing complex research programs

Compensation of the Senior Scientist Includes:
