About the Role
The Business Development Representative (BDR) helps drive Ostra’s growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. You’ll connect with potential clients across multiple channels to highlight the value of cybersecurity, uncover needs, share resources, and set up conversations with our Sales team.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of Ostra’s client relationships while learning directly from experienced cybersecurity and sales professionals.
What You’ll Do
- Engage prospects via phone, email, and Linked In; log activity in the CRM.
- Build targeted lead lists based on ideal customer profiles.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to develop outreach strategies.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads to deliver high-quality opportunities.
- Build strong internal relationships through clear communication.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly activity and pipeline goals.
- Test and refine outreach strategies to improve engagement.
- Learn Ostra’s cybersecurity solutions and how they address client needs.
- Partner with Marketing to create outreach sequences and messaging.
- Support Sales initiatives with additional projects as needed.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Prior experience in sales, marketing, or call-center environments preferred.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity products and services is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Natural relationship builder with a curious, positive approach.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM tools.

FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary Grade: $50,000 base / $25,000 variable
Position Type: Full-time (Hybrid) / Full-time Remote
Location: Candidates residing in Minnesota or Michigan will be given preference based on business needs and team alignment.
