Primary

Responsibilities
  • Perform, manage and track a high volume of privacy and security investigations.
  • Ensure reporting/notification requirements related to privacy and security investigations are met.
  • Assist with privacy awareness training and specific course content development as needed based on issue/incident experience.
  • Provide research and analysis as needed on privacy and data security matters.
  • Assist the team in advising and counseling on state/federal regulatory requirements in privacy and data security.
  • Collaborate with Optum and UHG privacy segments as well as Information Technology and Information Risk Management areas on enterprise‑wide objectives.
  • Support the Privacy function in developing, implementing, and administering enterprise‑wide privacy and data protection policies and programs.
  • Work generally self‑directed with complex issues and serve as a resource for others.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree (or higher).
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3+ years of experience in health care, legal, compliance, regulatory affairs, business roles, IT Data Management/IT Security, non‑health care privacy compliance or investigations experience in fraud, white‑collar or cyber/technology‑based crimes.
  • 2+ years of experience in health care, legal, compliance, regulatory affairs, business roles, IT Data Management/IT Security, non‑health care privacy compliance or investigations experience in fraud, white‑collar or cyber/technology‑based crimes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Paralegal certification and/or equivalent.
  • CIPP/US and/or CIPM certification.
Soft Skills
  • Ability to manage a significant and diverse workload with short turnaround times and firm deadlines.
  • Ability and flexibility to effectively work within a constantly evolving business and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Pay & Benefits

Pay is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications. Salary range: $71,200 to $127,200 annually. Benefits include a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, 401k contribution.
