Quality Engineer –

Job Title:

Quality Engineer, located at 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.

• Design, develop, and modify highly specialized computer applications to drive user efficiency and overall business.
• Design, develop, and implement new technology features that build on existing functionality, including but not limited to integrating with new primary resources for the implementation of Clinical Platform modernization and clinical enhancements as part of the One H&C program.
• Responsible for architectural and quality activities.
• Support migration, architectural, quality and operational procedural activities within the implementation team.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and on‑field providers to support this implementation and resolve any issues.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate performance considerations into the development process.
• Create detailed reports on performance testing results and document best practices.
• Work with the Ubiquity clinical informatics team on production data loads for data analysis and performance improvements.
• Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
• Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.
• Maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in the job offered or in an engineer‑related occupation.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the following:
  • Python
  • Database performance tuning and indexing strategies
  • Query optimizations and Open AI
  • HTTP/HTML, Tru Client and Flex protocols
  • Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline and Git Hub
  • Amazon Web Services, Azure and GCP
  • Load testing, stress testing and chaos testing
  • Kubernetes and SDLC

Rate of pay: $-$ per year.
