Location:

1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.

Duties include:

design and develop software applications; collaborate with the business to evaluate business goals, identify business problems and propose solutions; participate actively in Agile / SCRUM meetings; assist the Scrum execution team to make a smooth progress on delivering new functionality and at the end of each Sprint; support the development team by validating that the design and implementation of their application is in line with requirements, solution design, guidelines and direction/roadmap;

apply repeatable design patterns, best practices and development frameworks and techniques; focus on execution of product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders; drive software engineering phases including requirements analysis, architecture & application design; design and develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business; triage production support issues post-deployment and drive solutions as required; and collaborate with quality teams to drive continuous improvement;

research, identify and recommend industry best practices for solving software problems.

Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in an Engineer‑related occupation. Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following:

• Full stack Java developer;
• Front End – React JS, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery;
• Middleware – Java, Microservices, Sprint Boot, Red Hat JBoss EAP, Tomcat; and
• Back End – SQLServer, Oracle Database, MySQL.

$120,000 – $155,295 per year
