  • Located at Eden Prairie Community Center (16700 Valley View Road, Eden Prairie, MN)
  • Hours vary- weekdays afternoon and evening shifts available (3 p.m. – 8 p.m.)
Responsibilities

The fitness floor attendant supervises the patrons and equipment on the fitness floor at the Eden Prairie Community Center. The primary position responsibilities and areas of impact are:

  • Ensure members’ needs are met by providing quality service. Monitor the well-being of all participants throughout the fitness floor.
  • Assume a leadership role as a professional in the area of fitness and wellness. Ensure that a safe and healthy environment exists for exercising. Enforce all fitness facility policies, rules and regulations.
  • Give orientations of fitness floor equipment, including how to safely use and adjust machines. Assist in the cleaning and general maintenance of the fitness area.

While these areas are the primary focus of this position, we believe strongly in teamwork and employees will be called upon to perform a variety of duties as a part of their role with the City.

Requirements
  • Experience working in a fitness-related or health-related field required.
  • Degree in a fitness-related or health-related field preferred, Personal Trainer and/or Group Exercise certification preferred. First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required.
  • Candidates must successfully complete and pass the City’s evaluation of the pre-employment process prior to their first day of employment. Pre-employment processes for this position include professional reference checks, background check, work verification.

Notices discrepancies and inconsistencies in available information. Identifies a set of features, parameters or considerations to take into account in analyzing a situation or making a decision.
