As an Armed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service and communication.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, residence areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and coordinating with appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry as assigned, reporting suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports and activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
