Shift leader, Restaurant​/Food Service

Leads daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient team performance, and adherence to company standards. Acts as the manager-on-duty in a fast-paced environment.

• Supervise and support team members during shifts
• Ensure fast, friendly, and accurate customer service
• Open and/or close the restaurant, including cash handling and register counts
• Monitor food quality, portioning, and presentation standards
• Assign tasks and manage workflow to maintain efficiency during peak hours
• Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching
• Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety compliance
• Ensure supplies are properly restocked throughout the day
• Communicate with management regarding performance, issues, or staffing needs

• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Basic math and cash-handling accuracy

• 1–2+ years of experience in food service or hospitality
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience
• Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant operations
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Fast-paced, high-volume restaurant setting
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Occasional lifting (up to 25–45 lbs)
• Exposure to kitchen equipment and food preparation areas
