ALL ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE
Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store.

Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

As a General Merchandise Expert, you will have opportunities to develop skills and contribute to the team. The following responsibilities and qualifications summarize the typical day-to-day expectations:

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks and assist as needed.
• Engage guests to help solve their specific needs and thank them for shopping with Target.
• Execute daily tasks to support business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
• Operate power equipment certified, to move merchandise or store fixtures where required.
• Execute processes such as changing prices, merchandise setup, maintenance, and maintaining inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to resolve issues and improve guest experience.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking/packing orders or delivering pickup orders) while complying with applicable laws.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions, including drive-up and pickup tasks
