Hours:

Part‑Time 24 hours/week, First Shift. Position may travel between our Edgewood, Florence, Ft. Thomas, and Grant facilities.

• Patient Assessment:
  Review patient history and evaluate baseline data, EKGs and blood pressures. Notify physician of abnormal values to prevent complications.
• Completes all necessary steps pertaining to requested stress test to include: starting IVs, monitoring the patient’s EKG, blood pressure and administration of medications. Performs stress test under physician supervision. Communicates with patient and assists the patient when necessary during the exam.
• Provides continuous presence and observation of the patient during exercise and recovery. Reports and records patient condition and changes during exam. Enters the patient data into stress test computer system.

Must demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.

• Licensed to practice nursing in the state where work is being performed.
• BLS certified.

• EKG monitor experience.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of nursing theory, procedures and policies.
• ACLS certified.

• Two years experience in Critical Care Telemetry Unit.
