Performs regular EKGs, applies Ambulatory Monitors, and completes any office duties that are relative to the examinations performed within the department or other duties relative to the department operation. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors, and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Responsibilities- Takes EKG equipment to patient room, explains the procedure to the patient, and assists the patient as required to obtain a high‑quality examination and evaluate each procedure to assure accuracy and high quality.
- Performs examinations as outlined in Compliance 360.
- Receives computerized requests for procedures. Retrieves old records so as to allow comparative interpretation.
- Enters all required information into the computer relative to the examination.
- Tests equipment daily and reports any defect to the Cardiology Manager.
- Assists in Quality Assurance activities as directed by the manager.
- Participates in training program within the department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate.
- Complete knowledge of the operation of the EKG department.
- Six months of EKG training.
