Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of IR Tech experience and ARRT certification for a multi-campus contract assignment.
Responsibilities- Interventional Radiology department covering procedures such as angiograms, venograms, PICC placement, port-a-cath insertion, vertebroplasty, GI bleed interventions, embolization, biliary tube exchange, nephrostomy, IVUS, fistulagram, trans jugular biopsy, IVC filter removal, and neuro thrombectomy
- Utilizes EKOS, Inari, Penumbra, and Jeti equipment
- EMR system is Epic and experience with this system is required
- Day shift with 4x10 hour schedule with varying start times, specific day off determined upon offer
- Call requirement consists of one call day per week and three additional call days every 60 days, including both weekdays and weekends
- Weekend call is approximately every seven to eight weeks, covering Friday 5:00pm through Monday 7:00am
- Potential floating to other campuses within scope as needed, including Florence, Edgewood, and Fort Thomas
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Return staff must have been away from facility employment for at least one year to be eligible as a traveler
- No cafeteria available on site; refrigerator and microwave are provided for staff use
- Free parking is available in any unrestricted spaces
- Scrubs or apparel must be free of agency or brand logos as this policy is strictly enforced
- Holiday coverage may be required
- Any requested time off must be submitted with initial consideration request
- License required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 years Interventional Radiology Tech experience required
- ARRT and BLS certifications required
- Active KY state license (KBMIRT) or compact license required; license may be pending at time of consideration
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with specialized IR procedures and related equipment
- COVID and Flu vaccinations required, with medical or religious exemptions permitted
- Must comply with department standards for tattoos, piercings, and fingernail length
