Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) - Structural Heart and Valve Center

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) for our Cath lab/Structural Heart department located within the Edgewood Hospital.

Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides care and treatment to patients under the auspices of a designated physician through a collaborative practice agreement. Responsibilities include patient assessment, initiation and evaluation of diagnostic testing, documentation of physical findings, and formulation of treatment plan and prognosis based on patient medical condition. The APP serves as a facilitator to coordinate clinical care, educate patients and families, and support collaboration between various disciplines and agencies.

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessment, obtain health histories, and conduct physical examinations.
  • Initiate and evaluate diagnostic testing and formulate comprehensive plans of care.
  • Provide preventive health measures and educate patients and families.
  • Coordinate clinical care and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter with patients, families, visitors, and other employees.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in nursing with National Nurse Practitioner Certification in an appropriate specialty area.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensed as an RN in the state where work is being performed.
  • Certificate of Authority and Standard Care Arrangement with collaborating physician to practice as a nurse practitioner.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • For APRN: 5 years of experience as a registered nurse in a hospital critical care setting.
  • For PA-C:
    Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program and licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state where work is being performed; at least two years of experience in a hospital critical care setting.
  • DEA Certificate with prescribing/dispensing privileges in the state where work is being performed.
