Role Summary

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and employee‑centric People Operations Associate to join our People Team, with a primary focus on payroll administration, HRIS management, and benefits coordination. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, agile environment and is passionate about ensuring a seamless and positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle—from talent acquisition to talent management.

The People Operations Associate will serve as a key partner in maintaining data integrity, supporting payroll processes, administering benefits, and contributing to compliance and reporting efforts. This role will collaborate closely with the Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Employee Experience teams to ensure operational excellence and a consistent, high‑quality experience for employees.

Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration
  • Support bi‑weekly payroll processing in partnership with Payroll Administrator.
  • Validate payroll data including salary and rate information, 401(k) changes and benefit deductions.
  • Assist with audits and reconciliation of payroll‑related data.
HRIS Management
  • Maintain data integrity in HRIS including new hires, terminations, transfers and benefit changes.
  • Perform mass data updates, imports/exports, and troubleshoot data discrepancies.
  • Provide employee support for HRIS navigation, login issues and self‑service tools.
Benefits Administration
  • Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, FSAs, 401(k), COBRA, tuition reimbursement and leave management.
  • Coordinate plan enrollments, changes and terminations.
  • Support wellness initiatives and employee education on total rewards.
Talent Management Support
  • Partner with the People Teams on onboarding, orientation and employee relations matters.
  • Respond to employment verifications, unemployment requests and support documentation for separations.
Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and internal policies.
  • Support the NMLS administration and audit process.
  • Generate routine and ad hoc HR reports and assist with vendor invoice processing.
Special Projects
  • Support various team initiatives.
  • Participate in cross‑functional projects that enhance the employee experience.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
  • HR

    Certifications:

    PHR preferred.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 5 years in an HR capacity with direct experience in payroll, HRIS and benefits administration.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficiency in Workday and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of employment laws (FMLA, ADA, ADEA, Workers Compensation, EEO).
  • Attributes:
    High attention to detail, strong analytical skills and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion; exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and a commitment to modeling the behaviors that foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Compensation Information

$63,440.00 – $79,289.60 annually.
