A new vacancy is available withing a growing independent accountancy practice in Edgware, as they seek to recruit a high-calibre ACA or ACCA qualified accountant. This highly experienced practice have history dating back 50 years, and with a team of 13, have ambitious plans for growth
This role is a client facing, portfolio leadership position, with genuine influence, and a clear pathway towards management. You will work closely with senior leadership and partners, gaining exposure to strategic advisory work, whilst establishing excellent client relationships. Senior AccountantJob Responsibilities
- 80/20 split between accounts and audit.
- Review and preparation of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
- Management of a client portfolio, acting as the main point of contact
- Delivery of high-quality client service and translating technical matters into clear, commercial advice
- Involvement / leading assignments including:
Audit supervision - this forms a small part of the role. Audit fieldwork is outsourced, but the role will involve Audit Co-Ordination - Management accounts and reporting
- Cash flow forecasting and budgeting
- Business valuations and due diligence
- Handling client queries, technical research, and HMRC correspondence
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to their development
- Working with partners on business development and firm-wide initiatives
Job Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience, working within accountancy practice
- Strong technical experience across accounts, tax, audit, and advisory work
- Experience in portfolio management, and client relations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Ambition with a desire to progress
- Salary dependent on experience, paying up to £55,000
