Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated and experienced Post-16 Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND provision in the Edgware area. The setting supports young adults aged 16+ with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), providing personalised learning pathways that promote independence, confidence, and future progression. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a supportive, structured, and inclusive Post-16 environment.

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for learners with Autism
• Implement tailored strategies to support behavioural, emotional, and sensory needs
• Assist in creating a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
• Support the delivery of personalised learning programmes and life-skills activities
• Build positive, trusting relationships with learners, families, and staff
• Promote independence and communication through consistent routines and support

• Previous experience supporting young people with Autism (ASD)
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
• Commitment to inclusive education and learner development
• Understanding of safeguarding, well-being, and SEND best practice

• Complimentary CPD Training, including Autism Awareness and Behaviour Support
• A dedicated consultant to support you throughout the process
• Long-term/permanent placements focused on finding the right fit for both you and the provision
