The Role – English Teacher

A mixed, mainstream secondary academy in Edgware, rated Good by Ofsted, is seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their English department from September 2026.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 depending on experience and subject specialism. The English department is well established, collaborative, and supported by strong leadership, with a clear focus on literacy, progress, and outcomes.

The school is looking for a teacher with strong behaviour management, high expectations of students, and the ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment. ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply, and the academy provides a comprehensive induction programme alongside ongoing CPD.

The successful candidate will be paid on the Outer London MPS/UPS, in line with experience, and will join a supportive academy that values staff development and wellbeing.
