SEN Teacher – Outstanding Specialist School
Edgware, HA8 (commutable from Burnt Oak, Colindale, Mill Hill, Stanmore, Hendon)
MPS/UPS Outer London (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary (4-day option may be considered for exceptional candidates)
Long Term Futures is working with an Outstanding specialist primary school to recruit multiple SEN Teachers for September.
Supporting pupils aged 3–11, the school provides highly personalised education for children with a range of complex special educational needs, including Autism, communication needs and severe learning difficulties.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher looking to work within a well‑resourced specialist setting where relationships, consistency and individual progress are prioritised.

As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Deliver personalised learning tailored to pupils' individual needs and EHCP outcomes
- Create a structured and engaging classroom environment
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and senior leaders
- Support pupils' communication, independence and emotional development
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning profiles
- Contribute to annual reviews, target setting and progress monitoring
- Promote positive behaviour through consistency, routine and relationship-building
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Previous teaching experience within primary education
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND in either mainstream or specialist settings
- Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and inclusive practice
- Confident working with pupils with complex learning needs
- Personal care experience is advantageous but not essential
- Looking for a long-term role from September
