Location:
On-site Job Type: Full-time We are seeking an experienced Airport Engineering Manager to lead a team of eight engineers within a large, complex operational environment. This role is crucial for maintaining critical electrical and mechanical assets, ensuring safety, reliability, and service continuity. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background and a broad understanding of mechanical systems and infrastructure maintenance.
Day-to-day of the role:
Lead and manage a team of engineers operating across multiple shift patterns. Ensure the safe and effective maintenance of critical electrical and mechanical assets. Provide technical leadership within a live operational environment where reliability and service continuity are essential. Support reactive maintenance activities and participate in an out-of-hours on-call escalation process when required. Work closely with operational and asset management teams to drive performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
Strong electrical engineering background with supporting mechanical knowledge. Experience working with high-voltage systems and exposure to substation environments. Good understanding of electrical systems, safety procedures, and operational processes. Previous team leadership or management experience within an engineering environment. Experience working in complex, safety-critical or highly operational settings. Desirable experience includes exposure to airport/aviation environments, automated systems, security-related infrastructure, materials handling equipment, or similar critical engineering assets.
