An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Royal Free Pain Management Physiotherapy team. The Royal Free Pain Management Service consists of highly experienced and specialist clinicians including Psychologists, Consultants, Nurses and Physiotherapists and Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners.
Main duties of the jobWe are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced physiotherapist who is keen to enhance and develop their pain management skills within a supportive multi-disciplinary out-patient service.
There will be opportunity for joint and group working plus regular clinical supervision in addition to in-service training and weekly MDT meetings.
The successful candidate will be able demonstrate the Trust values and the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. Broad experience of working with a range of patients, excellent communication skills and being able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team are essential. Experience of working with complex persistent pain patients within a Pain Management service is desirable.

Person Specification Royal Free World Class Values- oDemonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values
- oDegree/ graduate diploma or equivalent in Physiotherapy
- oHealth Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration as a physiotherapist
- oCertificated graduate courses or equivalent in-house training in clinical specialty areas
- oMember of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
- oMembership of special interest group
- oGood understanding of relevant clinical guidelines
- oBroad range of clinical experience at Band 5 level or above
- oExperience of working in an acute, hospital-based setting, including working within an MDT
- oPresentations to a range of groups
- oTeaching/training of staff or students
- oSupervision of more junior staff, assistants and/students
- oActive participation in an audit or project work
- oComputer literate, to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- oEvidence of CPD
- oMotivational Interviewing/ Behaviour Change training (CBT or facilitation skills)
- oExperience of weekend working and emergency on-call working
- oEvidence of specialist clinical skills and core Physiotherapy skills
- oAbility to work effectively within different teams both multi and uni-disciplinary
- oAbility to manage own time & meet deadlines
- oAbility to be proactive with service development
- oAbility to recognise unacceptable behaviour and act on this appropriately

£44,485 to £52,521 a year
Per annum inclusive of HCAS pro rata
