Development Manager

Full time Mon to Fri

£up to £60k DOE

Our client has a large multiple block residential development in in Pontoon Dock and require an experienced and professional Development Manager with a strong soft and hard Facilities Management background to oversee the day to day running of the development and be the key person dealing with residents, contractors and on site staff. NEBOSH accreditation highly desirable. The role will involve leading a small Concierge team who manage front of house operations plus managing cleaning and maintenance staff.

The DM will need proven technical experience already because the role will encompass plant room inspections plus checking HVAC, pumps, electrical equipment checks, inspecting for any reactive maintenance issues as well as managing contractors when they perform any repairs or planned service visits. Regular inspections of the site will including also fire prevention, alarm and health and safety risk checks and ensuring that the checks are evidenced and recorded.

The role will also include plenty of interaction with the residents face to face and on email so therefore the right candidate must be extremely customer service orientated with excellent English communication skills both verbal and written. Duties will include taking responsibility for the management activities across the estate, monitoring performance against KPIs/SLA’s and provide reports as required, managing all on site staff, monitoring, reviewing and managing the service charge expenditure and managing health and safety, reactive and planned maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have previous residential Property/Estate management experience, strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills and have a good understanding of Health and Safety processes. Other duties include ensuring that activities are logged correctly in accordance with procedures, ensuring the safekeeping of apartment keys, ordering office supplies, ensuring all parcels are correctly allocated to the residents, overseeing control of the car park, and being available for senior management meetings and report processing as required.
