We are hiring a Senior Accountant who will be a member of the Finance team and will be hands‑on in the company's month‑end activities and daily accounting operations. This role will be critical in the day‑to‑day general ledger related activities with a focus on purchase requisition/invoice review, prepaids, lease accounting, accruals, allocations and related month‑end close process.

• Perform daily activities related to the review and approval of purchase requisitions and invoices
• Perform general ledger functions including amortization for prepaids, leases, intangibles, various accruals, and reconciliations between various systems
• Execute monthly accounting close activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and account flux analysis specific to your areas
• Partner with facilities and technical accounting team on managing lease in Costar and record lease entries accordance with ASC 842
• Assist and ensure accounting systems scaling and ensuring all systems are being used to their full functionality
• Support SEC team with preparation of schedules along with other analysis as needed
• Assist management on audit request and responses to inquiries from internal and external auditors
• Work on ad‑hoc projects with the Accounting Manager and Assistant Controller on an as‑needed basis

• BS or BA in Accounting or related field preferred
• 4+ years of progressive general ledger accounting experience in a corporate / public accounting environment, preferably in software industry
• Strong experience and knowledge in US GAAP and SOX internal controls
• Experience with Oracle Fusion/Blackline/Coupa/Costar a plus
• Excellent verbal / written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently, cross‑functionally and as part of a team
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Familiarity or interest in leveraging AI tools or technologies in accounting workflows is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your role as well as use data‑driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement
• Ability to succeed in a fast‑paced environment, solve complicated problems, motivated to implement improvements, to inspire change while staying within the company’s culture being collaborative and inclusive

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $94,000 – $142,000. Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full‑time positions or part‑time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well‑being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company‑sponsored retirement plan.

In addition, some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long‑term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, company and employee performance.
