More than 8,500 diverse student learners are provided an exceptional education experience throughout the district’s early learning center, six elementary schools (K-Grade
5) including both French and Spanish Immersion programs, two middle schools (Grades 6-8), a high school (9-12), and the Edina Virtual Pathway online program.

The Edina Public Schools Transportation Center is a state of the art facility. The 62,000 square foot facility hosts 22 bus bays which, unlike many neighboring districts, allows the district to store all buses throughout the winter months. It also boasts a conference room, ample room for mechanical work, employee break room, and additional front office space.

Hourly School Bus Driver

LOCATION:
Transportation Center

HOURS PER DAY:
Full-time, part-time, and causal positions available (up to 8.0 hours/day M-F)

DAYS PER YEAR:
School Term – 170 days

RATE OF PAY:

The wage for this position ranges from $26.64 to $27.76 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. New candidates will start at the entry-level rate of $26.64 per hour.

Eligible employees also receive paid time off in accordance with the provisions outlined in the employee work agreement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent, required. Must obtain and maintain a valid school bus driver’s license (CDL) and participate in annual training. Drivers must successfully complete the training period and obtain a CDL license before they can begin driving a bus route.
