Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead mechanical system design, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.
  • Oversee project planning, budgeting, and scheduling in collaboration with project teams.
  • Conduct detailed engineering calculations, load analysis, and system layouts using relevant software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Coordinate with architects, general contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct site visits to oversee installations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Review and approve mechanical drawings, specifications, and submittals.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in proposal development, cost estimation, and client presentations as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience:5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in a mechanical contracting environment.
  • Licensure: PE (Professional Engineer) license preferred or ability to obtain.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-related design software.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
  • Experience with ASHRAE, SMACNA, and other relevant industry codes and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate effectively with teams and clients.
