Key Responsibilities:- Lead mechanical system design, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.
- Oversee project planning, budgeting, and scheduling in collaboration with project teams.
- Conduct detailed engineering calculations, load analysis, and system layouts using relevant software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
- Coordinate with architects, general contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct site visits to oversee installations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Review and approve mechanical drawings, specifications, and submittals.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in proposal development, cost estimation, and client presentations as needed.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in a mechanical contracting environment.
- Licensure: PE (Professional Engineer) license preferred or ability to obtain.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-related design software.
- Strong understanding of mechanical building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
- Experience with ASHRAE, SMACNA, and other relevant industry codes and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate effectively with teams and clients.
