Surgical Technologist

The Surgical Technologist provides technical expertise and patient care assistance to support the delivery of quality care in the Operating Room (OR).

This casual position is based at our Edina Specialty Surgery Center.

Revo Health partners with healthcare groups to deliver exceptional patient care. This role is employed through Revo Health, collaborating with Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health) and its divisions.

• Assist with obtaining equipment and supplies for procedures and prepare the surgical suite.
• Prepare sterile instrument tables, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
• Ensure all instruments and supplies are available and complete before incision.
• Maintain an aseptic environment during surgery.
• Assist surgeons and surgical team members throughout all phases of surgery.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team based on knowledge of procedures.
• Label medications according to departmental policies.
• Operate specialty instruments and equipment competently.
• Handle specimens according to policies.
• Clean and return instruments and equipment post-procedure.
• Assist in cleaning the OR between cases and after the last case.
• Support the Circulating Nurse during procedures.
• Decontaminate, inspect, and prepare instruments for sterilization.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.
• Report occurrences through established channels.
• Participate in educational activities and ongoing training.
• Help manage costs by proper use of supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Graduate from an ARC/STSA or CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program or equivalent military education.
• Surgical Technologist Certification through NBSTSA.
• At least one year of OR experience in the last three years.
• Membership in the S.T. preferred.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain it.
