Ultrasound Technologist - Casual

Overview

Here at Fairview, we are now seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. This is a casual position that will work as needed by the department. There are day/evening/night/weekend shifts available.

The Technologist position provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of diagnostic images appropriate to the age of the patient exam ordered. Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care, supplies and equipment and for coordinating teamwork with all the members of the health care team.

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Performs examinations with technical accuracy and in a timely manner.
• Verifies patient identification and documentation
• Reviews physician order prior to exam or procedure.
• Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.
• Communicates with and educates patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
• Accurately produces and records measurements according to protocols.

• ARDMS registered in one specialty or ARRT RT (S) registered within 90 Days
• Additional registrations may be required for specific locations based on the site’s accreditations (for example: ACR, AIUM, IAC) and/or regulatory requirements
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

• ARDMS registered in multiple specialties

An individual s pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
