RN - Recovery Room

We are seeking an experienced Recovery Room Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care in the Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to patients recovering from elective cosmetic surgery. You will play a vital role in ensuring each patient’s comfort, safety, and readiness for discharge after their procedure.

• Provide direct patient care during the immediate post‑anesthesia recovery period.
• Admit patients to recovery, receive hand‑off from anesthesia, and monitor condition throughout.
• Assess and monitor vital signs, dressings, IVs, drains, and overall recovery needs.
• Respond to urgent situations, including initiating and maintaining CPR when necessary.
• Ease patient anxiety, provide reassurance, and respect dignity and privacy.
• Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, and surgical staff to ensure seamless care.
• Evaluate patient readiness for discharge and provide recovery instructions.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and physician directions.
• Maintain readiness of recovery area, including equipment and supplies.
• Participate in Quality Management and Performance Improvement programs.
• Support communication with patients’ families in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Engage in continuing education and attend center meetings to maintain competency.

• Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (R.N.) license.
• Current CPR and ACLS certification.
• Prior PACU or ICU nursing experience strongly preferred; ambulatory surgery experience a plus.
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to respond effectively in emergent situations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient‑centered approach.
