Kid Zone Attendant

The YMCA of Greater Erie is looking to hire a Kid Zone Attendant for our County location. Are you creative, energetic, and fun-loving? Do you love working with children and watching them giggle? If so, please read on!

$10.00-$12.48/hour depending on experience

As a Kid Zone Attendant at one of our locations, you help our members meet their fitness goals by providing a safe, secure and positive environment for their children ages 6 weeks to 8 years old. Kid Zone is a service for YMCA family members providing drop‑in care for their children with trained staff while they enjoy an onsite workout or class.

You are friendly and patient as you ensure the safety of all children. Always alert, you provide proper supervision for the children as you "see, hear, direct, and assess." Parents feel good about leaving their children in your loving and capable hands.

With enthusiasm, you help keep the kid zone area clean and in order. You are also conscientious about the YMCA emergency procedures and find ways to have fun with the children while they are TValue in your care.

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic skills working with children
• Current certification in CPR Pro (CPR for health care providers and first responders) and First Aid (for the community and workplace)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass a physical
• Love for children

This typical schedule for this position is 12-15 hours per week. Monday - Friday, mornings 9:00am-11:30am plus some nights and weekends.
