Phlebotomist II Float – Edinboro, PA

Phlebotomist float role. Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotational weekends. In this role you will have varied work where no two days look the same. You will shift frequently to new patient centers and meet new people.

Pay range:
Minimum of $18.02+ per hour.
Salary includes factors such as skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities
  • Assigned a territory to cover phlebotomist duties within a Patient Service Center, doctor’s office, or as business needs dictate
  • Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing
  • Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams)
  • Enter billing information and collect payment when required
  • Coach, mentor, instruct, and act as a resource advisor for new employees; point of contact to staff on site and provide input to the group lead or supervisor
  • Travel to additional doctor’s office or Patient Service Center sites when needed
Qualifications Required Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience
  • Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.

The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
