This role provides technical pre‑sales support for IT server cabinet and data center rack infrastructure offerings.

Provide technical pre‑sales support to targeted partners and national resellers for IT server cabinet applications or datacenter rack infrastructure offerings. You will be responsible for configuration assistance, product configuration development, interaction with reseller technical teams, bid specification reviews, compliance documentation, and competitive cross‑reference inputs. Additionally, you will give technical guidance to reseller sales teams on effective selling.

• Provide technical pre‑sales support between Vertiv and targeted resellers.
• Deliver pre‑sales quality technical application support to sales personnel and customers, supporting proper selection and sizing of products and accessories, accurately explaining product features and applications, and facilitating order capture rates.
• Collaborate with sales personnel to identify requirements and provide quotations for custom configurations.
• Collaborate and communicate closely with Vertiv field sales teams supporting the same opportunity.
• Review or generate optimized Vertiv configurations to solve specific national reseller application requirements.
• Assist in technical sales positioning on proposals considering specifications, competition, and winning criteria.
• Provide pre‑sale applications engineering support via phone, e‑mail, and web to national resellers.
• Provide competitive evaluations to national resellers when appropriate.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, operations management, marketing, mechanical engineering, computer science, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a sales support or manufacturing support role; a technical support role, custom design support role, or inside sales support role.
• Working knowledge of IT server cabinet sales applications, datacenter rack infrastructure, electronic circuits and electrical distribution systems, or networking and IT infrastructure.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• Highly detail‑oriented with a critical degree of accuracy for problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability of effectively interacting with global personnel.
• Professional attitude toward customer relations.
