Salesperson, Retail Sales

Entry level sales position capable of supporting the DIY business and achieving our sales and service objectives. The role involves a strong understanding of store systems, basic automotive and part knowledge, and the ability to source items from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. The position has in-depth knowledge of the store inventory and maintenance processes. It can be part‑time or full‑time, with fleet safety certification preferred.

• Provide an excellent selling experience for DIY customers via in‑store visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal sales goals and help the store meet its overall sales targets
• Offer DIY services, including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, and more
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Handle inventory processes, such as truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, back‑stock, etc.

• Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facings, dusting, and parking lot
• Manage general stocking, including truck stocking and back‑stocking
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed

• Basic driving and navigation ability
• Proficiency with the delivery board system
• Friendly and effective communication skills
• Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently
• Knowledge of safety procedures and skills
• Experience operating inventory systems and store equipment
• Parts and automotive system knowledge
• Operating POS and parts lookup systems
• Expertise with testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services

• Speak and write in English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in all units of measure)
• Work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed

• 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences
