We seek applicants who are dedicated to serving UTRGV’s diverse student body as a Lecturer in Biology beginning in Fall 2026. The primary responsibility is teaching undergraduate biology courses and laboratories that support the Biology undergraduate programs. Faculty will implement evidence-based teaching and learning strategies, integrate innovative technology, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance student success. Service to the university and community is encouraged but not formally expected;
scholarship activities are optional.
- M.S. in Biology or a related area from an accredited university.
- Commitment to Teaching Excellence and evidence of experience meeting SACS-COC and other departmental/college accreditation requirements.
- Experience teaching a variety of undergraduate biology courses and laboratories.
- Terminal degree in Biology or a related area (Master of Science or higher).
- Teaching experience in undergraduate biology courses.
- Experience working with underrepresented students.
No license or certification required. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
