Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and computing data on all reportable cancer diagnosis for the registry operations and data standards for the American College of Surgery (ACOS) regarding the nature of cancer patients’ illnessess and the diagnostic procedures and treatments used to deal with them. This Registrar maintains the data of patients who have been diagnosed with malignant tumors and submits data to the National Center Data Base and Texas State Registry.
He/She must work in a professional manner with physicians and other hospital departments.
10 coding required.
