TDCJ - Human Resources Specialist - Human Resour

Job Duties:

Reviews, enters, and processes requests for human resources actions; ensures compliance with policies, procedures, rules, and regulations; and prepares, reviews, and processes correspondence, reports, forms, and other related documentation. Performs data entry, retrieval, and data searches; identifies discrepancies and coordinates corrections; assists in tabulating, posting, and entering time and leave records; maintains files and record keeping systems to include automated information systems;

and assists in the maintenance of computer databases. Provides technical assistance regarding processes and operating procedures; assists in implementing solutions to problems and new procedures; and assists in the execution of policies and procedures.

You'd be a GOOD fit if:
Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED. Six months full-time, wage-earning human resources, customer service, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, program administration, public administration, financial operations, auditing, or technical program support experience. Computer operations experience preferred.

You'd be a GREAT fit if:
Have one year of experience in human resources, customer service, clerical, secretarial, or administrative support. Motivated and want to work in a positive, team structured, environment.

Human Resources Specialist I Additional Information:
Travel None - Position may make day trips, but no overnight trips. Work Site Visits No Study Material No Pre-Service Training Academy Required No Hazardous Duty/Longevity Position Longevity.
