Position• Plant Operator
Responsible for independent operation and maintenance of a renewable natural gas processing plant including compression, treating facilities, solvent regeneration, CO2 extraction, gas dehydration, condensate and product storage, truck loading, electrical generation, and other facilities and associated activities. Carries out directions of Plant Manager to ensure optimum plant performance and environmental compliance.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform all duties necessary to ensure optimum plant operations, ensuring maximum runtime and sales while maintaining high safety standards.
- Required shift work; typical duties include monitoring plant operations through computer‑based plant interface (HMI), maintenance of equipment, shutdown and start‑up of the plant, and documentation of operating parameters.
- Work activities require outdoor activities, labor work, in year‑round variable weather conditions.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Mechanical training and practical experience in an industrial operations and maintenance setting.
- Ability to operate, troubleshoot and maintain cryogenic plant equipment, including reciprocating compressors, pumps, exchangers, air coolers, air compressors and related equipment preferred.
- Manual dexterity and physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods, walking on catwalks, working in confined spaces, and exposure to extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to operate hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are required for this position as well as the ability to effectively work in a team environment.
- Ability to work days, weekends, overtime and respond to callouts during off hours and emergencies.
- Basic PC computer skills and training in custom software applications used in flow computers, gas chromatograph, plant controls, and process safety management.
