Overview

We are currently looking for the right Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team!

$10.75 to $13.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.36 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and thrives on helping customers with inquiries and problem resolution.

Associates work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Actual pay will be based on factors such as location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Explains legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers; fosters a positive team environment.
• Collaborates with staff to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training and performs other duties as needed.

• Willingness and ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, bending, etc.) in compliance with laws.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May assist customers exterior to the building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Eligible to work at multiple locations as needed.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance Gross Profit. More details are provided during the interview process.
