Scope of Job
We are looking for an enthusiastic graduate student to work as a Research Assistant in a project funded by the National Science Foundation. As part of this opportunity, the graduate student is expected to participate in the design, administration, and monitoring of surveys; analyze and evaluate data gathered during research; ensure compliance with IRB protocols and overall project objectives. The graduate research assistant’s responsibilities include:
1) Conduct literature reviews;
2) Collect and analyze data ( UTRGV campus and RGV community);
3) Prepare materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations;
4) Prepare questions for survey’s and pre-post tests;
5) Manage and respond to project-related emails; and
6) Prepare, maintain, and update website materials. In addition, the student is expected to attend the project meetings, area seminars, and other meetings as necessary; summarize the project results, prepare progress reports and other articles. The student will have the opportunity to collaborate in presentations along with writing and contributing to publications.
