Position: Audit Senior up to £45,000 plus package and overtime

Overview

We are seeking an Audit Senior, or Assistant Manager for our growing client. This is a busy and varied role and for a qualified ACCA/ICAS (or equivalent qualification) Audit professional, or potentially someone part qualified, or qualified in another jurisdiction. You will become a key part of a growing team, which provides a wide range of audit and advisory services to a huge range of diverse clients.

Responsibilities
  • Project manage and drive forwards the audit and accounting process, including liaising directly with senior individuals in clients’ finance teams.
  • Get actively involved in every aspect of the audit process, taking ownership of planning, fieldwork, and the completion on audit engagements, working closely with Managers and Partners.
  • Have the opportunity to get involved in the direction and overall running of the team.
  • There may also be opportunities to work on ad hoc projects e.g., department or firm wide working groups and client advisory work.
About the client and role

The Audit team advises a wide range of commercial businesses, not-for-profit organizations and charities. The commercial client base ranges from large multi-national companies and groups, reporting under UK GAAP and IFRS to family businesses, many of which are owned by wealthy individuals.

Qualifications and expectations
  • As a successful candidate you will have the responsibility for leading a range of audits. You will be responsible for supervising and coaching the work of more junior staff and liaising with Manager, Senior Managers, Partners and clients.
  • Demonstrate a passion for delivering quality and ensures that client needs are met, benefit ting both the client and the firm.
  • Defines performance measures and continuously looks to assess, improve and achieve objectives.
  • Sets priorities, defines activities, gives responsibilities and plans work so that results are achieved on time.
  • Seeks self-development and provides support that enables others to develop within the firm.
  • Works cooperatively with others, positively influences them and ensures team participation to support the firm’s goals.
