Meraki Talent is supporting the appointment of an Interim Part-Qualified Accountant based in Edinburgh, with excellent hybrid & flexible working and a salary of up to £42,000.

The position of Interim Part-Qualified Accountant based in Edinburgh, will report right into the CEO. The key components of the role will be:

• Support the month‑end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Review and approve transactional finance activities, including purchasing, invoicing and bank payments.
• Manage employee expenses, ensuring accurate processing and reporting.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis, investigating variances where required.
• Support the year‑end audit process, providing reconciliations and responding to audit queries.
• Assist with statutory reporting, including VAT returns and other HMRC submissions.
• Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Provide wider support to the finance team, assisting with bookkeeping, process improvements and ad‑hoc finance activities as required.

The role will start as a 3‑month temporary role, and if both sides agree it will become permanent. The salary ranges up to £42,000.

• Part‑qualified or QBE professional.
