Job description

Asset Pricing is a small friendly team based primarily in Edinburgh that provides technical support to our Audit Client Engagement Teams in the UK. We have built up a good understanding of how to use a variety of software databases through practice and training to provide level 1 valuations for our clients. We provide a fast‑paced service where the expectation is to turn‑around data accurately and efficiently within 3 days.

Our skill is in balancing standard requests, which may need to be completed quickly, and ad‑hoc requests, which can challenge how we work. It is fast‑paced and can be demanding but also offers great exposure to the audit service line.

We encourage consideration of flexible ways of working, both formal and informal arrangements that allow for the best outcomes for our people and our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the day‑to‑day processing of pricing data (prior experience not necessary).
  • Assisting with the workflow, mailbox and handling queries.
  • Utilising online and offline sources for data retrieval.
  • Preparing weekly/monthly reports in Microsoft Excel.
  • Daily communication with internal audit teams.
  • Communicating effectively with other team members.
Qualifications
  • Proficient Excel skills, as well as other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong time‑management skills, able to self‑manage allocated work based on deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Team player, able to work well within a processing centre alongside others.
Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, including personal independence constraints that may restrict certain financial interests and employment relationships. The recruitment team will provide further details as you progress through the recruitment process.

Hybrid

working policy

You will be based in Edinburgh with a hybrid working arrangement. Depending on the requirements of your role, you will have the opportunity to work in your local office, virtual collaboration spaces, client sites and remotely. You will be encouraged to work flexibly to balance career and personal life.
