Role Description

We are offering a competitive salary and ACCA training package for the right candidate to join our office as a trainee Chartered Accountant and payroll assistant. The role is based in our busy accounting and payroll departments where you will be involved in a variety of different work. We expect 50% of your time will be spent within our accounts department and 50% in our payroll department (all sitting within our business support team).

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts
  • Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and charities
  • Preparation of payroll returns for a portfolio of clients.
  • Preparation of business tax and personal tax returns
  • Meeting client expectations in terms of accuracy and timescales for delivery of work
  • Being highly responsive to client needs.
What We’re Looking For
  • A relevant undergraduate degree in accountancy or finance, with exemptions towards ACCA exams, would be preferred but not essential
  • Positive mindset / team spirit
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Strong excel skills
  • A professional, respectful, and friendly manner
  • Ability to build and develop client relationships
