Role DescriptionWe are offering a competitive salary and ACCA training package for the right candidate to join our office as a trainee Chartered Accountant and payroll assistant. The role is based in our busy accounting and payroll departments where you will be involved in a variety of different work. We expect 50% of your time will be spent within our accounts department and 50% in our payroll department (all sitting within our business support team).
Responsibilities- Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts
- Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and charities
- Preparation of payroll returns for a portfolio of clients.
- Preparation of business tax and personal tax returns
- Meeting client expectations in terms of accuracy and timescales for delivery of work
- Being highly responsive to client needs.
- A relevant undergraduate degree in accountancy or finance, with exemptions towards ACCA exams, would be preferred but not essential
- Positive mindset / team spirit

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Strong excel skills
- A professional, respectful, and friendly manner
- Ability to build and develop client relationships
