The CompanyThis is an Edinburgh-based professional services firm with a busy personal tax team and a varied client base, including individuals and owner-managed businesses. You'll join a supportive environment where client service and accuracy matter.
- Support a wide range of personal tax clients, including HNWIs
- Work with individuals and clients connected to companies
- Deliver a service-led approach with clear, timely communication
- Build trusted relationships through regular client liaison
This Personal Tax Senior role focuses on personal tax compliance and preparing personal tax returns. You'll manage your own portfolio and act as a key point of contact for clients, keeping work moving and standards high.
- Prepare and review personal tax returns to agreed deadlines
- Manage personal tax compliance tasks across your portfolio
- Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries
Maintain accurate records and keep workflows on track - Spot issues early and raise them to the wider team where needed
You're comfortable handling personal tax work with care and pace. You communicate well and keep clients informed, even when you're chasing details.
Mandatory- Demonstrate experience in personal tax compliance and personal tax returns
- Show confidence liaising with clients and handling queries professionally
- Manage deadlines and prioritise work across multiple cases
- Communicate clearly in writing and over the phone
- Have strong attention to detail and a right-first-time mindset
- Support HNWI personal tax work (or be keen to develop in this area)
- Exposure to clients connected to companies (e.g., directors/shareholders)
- Experience working within a practice environment
You'll get a stable role with clear day-to-day ownership, alongside a team that values good client service and getting the basics right.
- Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
