Job Overview

We are looking for an organised and detail focused SVQ Administrator to support the effective coordination of our SVQ Centre within Older People Services. This is a key administrative role, working closely with Employee Development Officers, the SVQ Centre Contact, SQA and Finance to ensure vocational qualifications are managed smoothly and compliantly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co‑ordinate the day to day administration of the SVQ Centre, acting as a key point of contact for EDOs, the OPS SVQ Centre Contact, SQA and Finance
  • Administer and attend Quality Assurance Processes (QAPs), External Verification visits and standardisation meetings
  • Manage SVQ Centre related invoices and funding processes, including liaison with Finance and EDOs
  • Support the allocation and processing of VSDF and other relevant funding streams
  • Maintain accurate records on HR and learning systems relating to qualifications and training
  • Provide administrative support including correspondence, call handling, diary management, meeting coordination and travel arrangements
  • Support SVQ training course administration and the production of training materials
  • Carry out general administrative duties to support the wider SVQ Centre function
About you

You will have sound knowledge and experience of vocational qualification centre administration, ideally within an SQA or Modern Apprenticeship environment, and be confident using systems such as SQA Navigator. You will be highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines with strong attention to detail. Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, are essential, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.

Experience of using a HR system such as CHRIS would be an advantage.
