Build a Career, Not Just a CV
Evergreen Property is an independent Edinburgh property company managing long-term rental properties and short-term accommodation across the city.
We are looking for a bright, organised and motivated Graduate Lettings Assistant to join our team.
You do not need property experience.
What matters is your attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through.
This is a role for someone who enjoys solving problems, communicating with people, and learning how a successful property business operates behind the scenes.
You will be trusted with genuine responsibility from the beginning and will have the opportunity to develop skills that many graduates spend years waiting to gain.
You will be working closely with the director daily!
What You'll Be DoingNo two days are the same. Typical responsibilities include:
- Conducting property viewings
- Assisting with property inspections
- Liaising with landlords, tenants and contractors
- Helping coordinate repairs and maintenance
- Preparing tenancy documentation
- Updating property management software
- Assisting with compliance requirements and safety certification tracking
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy lettings business
- Solving problems before they become bigger problems
You may be a recent graduate or someone at the start of your career.
We are far more interested in aptitude and attitude than previous property experience.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Intelligent and quick to learn
- Comfortable with technology and new software
- Highly organised
- Professional and reliable
- Confident communicating with people
- Able to prioritise multiple tasks
- Calm under pressure
- Proactive rather than reactive
- Willing to take responsibility and ownership
- You need constant supervision
- You avoid difficult conversations
- You prefer routine over variety
- You expect someone else to solve problems for you
- You are simply looking for a stop-gap job
- You enjoy figuring things out
- You take pride in doing things properly
- You notice details others miss
- You genuinely enjoy helping people
- You want to learn how a successful business operates
- You are looking for long-term career development rather than just your next job
We are a small, supportive team where your contribution genuinely matters.
You won't spend six months making coffee or shadowing meetings.
You will gain practical experience in:
- Property management
- Customer service
- Business operations
- Negotiation
- Compliance
- Problem-solving
- Time management
For the right person, this role offers genuine progression and the chance to build a long-term career within a growing business. After an intial probation period, full training will be paid for and provided to gain the relevant qualifications needed to work in the Scottish Lettings industry.
