Project Assistant

(Care Home Programme Team - Corporate Nursing)

GRADE:
Band 3.

HOURS:

Full time 36 hours per week (1.0 WTE).

BASE:
Pan Lothian post based at Waverly Court NHS Lothian HQ, Edinburgh.

CONTRACT:

18 months fixed term or secondment.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and self‑motivated individual to join the Care Home Programme Team within Corporate Nursing, Primary & Community Care, NHS Lothian as a Project Assistant on an 18‑month fixed term basis or secondment opportunity.

This role provides administrative and project support across a portfolio of service improvement, quality improvement and transformation projects within community care home services and wider corporate nursing. Working closely with the Programme Manager and Project Support Manager, you will provide a comprehensive administrative and project support service, including organising and supporting project meetings, taking and drafting minutes, coordinating events and workshops, maintaining project documentation, and undertaking a range of general administrative duties to support project delivery.

Successful Applicant Will
  • Have an HNC/SVQ Level 3 qualification in Business Administration or a relevant subject, or equivalent experience.
  • Have experience in an administrative or project support role.
  • Have experience of working within a project environment.
  • Possess excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Have the ability to work independently using their own initiative, as well as contributing effectively as part of a team.
