Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing exceptional patient care and managing administrative tasks efficiently and with professionalism. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring smooth clinic operations while delivering compassionate service to our patients. Prior office and administrative experience are highly valued, along with a friendly demeanour and attention to detail.
The successful candidate would initially work part-time as a Medical Receptionist on Mondays and Tuesdays (8am to 6pm). However, we envisage the position evolving over the next 12 months into a full-time role
, which will include additional administrative tasks, and potentially providing phlebotomy services (training will be provided).
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records accurately
- Handle incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and organise follow-up appointments
- Ensure all patient information is recorded correctly in the system
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
- Assist healthcare professionals with administrative support as needed
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures
Skills
- Proven office experience, demonstrating organisational skills and professionalism
- Administrative experience in a healthcare setting is desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Competence in using computer systems and electronic health records software
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and deliver compassionate patient care
- Willingness to undergo phlebotomy training
