Location and Dates

Business Intelligence Graduate – Forth Ports Ltd, 100 Ocean Drive, with placement at Port of Leith or Port of Grangemouth. Compensation: £32,000.

What you will learn
  • Learn how to gather, refine, and translate business requirements into BI and AI solutions
  • Build and maintain high‑quality datasets that support robust, repeatable reporting and analytics
  • Develop skills in ensuring data integrity, quality, security, and governance
  • Communicate insights effectively through dashboards, reports, and presentations
  • Work with stakeholders to improve their BI capability through training and engagement
  • Gain exposure to advanced analytical techniques such as statistical modelling, forecasting, and AI applications
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies through research, networking, and continuous development
  • Apply transparent, well‑documented, and repeatable analytical methods

What are we looking for

We are looking for someone who is curious, analytical, and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in using data to solve real business problems. You’ll be proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working with a range of stakeholders, with a strong desire to develop both your technical skills and your ability to communicate insights clearly and responsibly.

  • A degree in a numerate discipline (e.g. Data Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics) with a minimum 2:1 achieved / expected
  • Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Python (or similar BI/analytics tools)
