Work Location: Hybrid, Edinburgh (2 to 3 days a week onsite)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to take ownership of requirements definition across multiple work streams within a large pension’s transformation programme. This role will step into responsibilities previously covered at Business Architect level, providing oversight across requirements, solution shaping and stakeholder alignment.
This is a hands‑on contract position requiring strong pensions domain knowledge, workshop facilitation expertise, and the ability to operate confidently with senior stakeholders while maintaining detailed control of requirements and traceability.
Key Responsibilities- Work with Business Operations SMEs to identify required changes to pension administration systems and operational processes
- Facilitate workshops to review current state processes and define future state solutions
- Produce and maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
- Document business requirements, process flows and supporting documentation
- Shape and prioritise solutions in collaboration with operational and programme stakeholders
- Act as the central link between Business SMEs, Project Managers and the Test Team
- Review test cases to ensure alignment with defined programme requirements
- Support the development of new solutions, including redress processes and management information outputs
- Engage regularly with senior account leadership, including CIO and CTO level stakeholders
- Extensive experience as a Senior Business Analyst within financial services
- Strong background in pensions or life and pensions environments
- Experience working within BPO or outsourced operational models
- Demonstrated experience running workshops and managing senior stakeholders
- Strong documentation capability, including ownership of Requirements Traceability Matrices
- Experience aligning requirements with test cases and supporting UATAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and operate under broad direction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with Sapien’s systems
- Experience delivering change within large heritage or transformation programmes
