Location: City of Edinburgh

As an Associate Product Manager (APM) at Opus 2, you will work closely with a Senior Product Manager and cross‑functional product teams (Product, Design, Engineering, AI/ML) to support the design and delivery of user‑centered solutions. This role is designed to help you further develop the core skills of an outstanding product manager, with mentorship and real ownership opportunities from the start.

You’ll gain experience across discovery, execution, and delivery, growing your craft while contributing meaningfully to Opus 2’s mission.

What You’ll Be Doing Customer‑Centric Discovery
  • Collaborate with PMs, designers, engineers, and researchers to uncover user insights
  • Participate in user interviews, journey mapping, data analysis, and competitor research
  • Build close and trusting relationships with the customer‑facing teams across our business to enable easier learning and collaboration
  • Assist in translating insights into clear problem statements, jobs‑to‑be‑done, and opportunity areas
Agile Product Development
  • Define Support user story writing, requirements, and acceptance criteria with PM guidance
  • Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives alongside the Senior PM
  • Coordinate with Design and Engineering to ensure features are tested and launched successfully
Execution & Delivery
  • Take ownership of small features or iterations with oversight and mentorship
  • Drive UAT testing, documentation, and post‑launch monitoring
  • Assist in cross‑team communication and go‑to‑market readiness
Strategic Product Mindset
  • Own success measures for initiatives, including ARR, adoption, retention, or TAM expansion
  • Evaluate strategic bets with a clear view of commercial and user impact
  • Communicate initiative outcomes to leadership and key stakeholders
Cross‑Functional Leadership
  • Learn to analyze product usage metrics and experiments to generate insights with PM guidance
  • Build foundational knowledge of SaaS, AI‑enhanced legal tech, and platform architecture
  • Stay curious about how platform thinking, AI integration, and customer needs evolve

Skills And Qualifications
  • 0‑3+ year’s experience in product, design, consulting, engineering, or a similar analytical role
  • Structured, analytical problem‑solver who can break down complex topics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — clear, concise, user‑centric
  • High initiative, growth mindset, and openness to feedback
  • Strong collaboration skills — thrives in cross‑functional team settings
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma
  • Curiosity about APIs, data structures, multi‑tenant SaaS, or AI‑driven solutions
  • Exposure to B2B, SaaS, or platform products is a plus, but not required
